ASCII                     American Standard Code for Information Interchange;
technically, this refers to the encoding scheme
whereby the internally stored binary numbers used by
computers correspond to human-readable symbols like
"A", but in common usage on the net, ASCII
also refers to anything that's made of standard text
                          characters: "@>--,--`---" is an ASCII

assembler a person screwing together a computer; modern
speech analysis on the living object calls for

assembler an instrument to automatically transscribe your
program code into something a computer can
understand; the difference between an assembler and
a compiler is the lower level of commands you are
allowed to use; interestingly enough is the fact
that "normal" programmers don't understand assembler
languages, but who is normal in EDP business,
anyway?; caution: compilers are the best place to

saving valuable time; WOM devices exist in many
variations, for each storing device ever built there
is at least one WOM version available; WOMs are the
most used equipment in EDP; certain software allows
to use any storing device as a WOM; especially
valuable for preparing those reports which are base
for the revenue tax calculation, and which have to
be stored in bank vaults (see "bank")
